Stephanie Sersli

Stephanie is a critical health geographer interested in the intersections of active travel, gender, and city space. She received her PhD in 2020 from the Faculty of Health Sciences at Simon Fraser University. Her dissertation investigated the impact of a community-delivered intervention on diverse women’s urban bicycling participation
After a career in the non-profit sector, Stephanie joined the CHATR lab to develop mad evaluation skills and to overcome her fear of statistics. She is a lapsed gardener, hiker, kayaker, community organizer, and pop culture nerd.
Research interests: healthy and just cities, sustainable and socially inclusive forms of mobility, realist evaluation, social practice theory, gender.
