Christine Yanagawa

MPH Candidate

Christine is a Master of Public Health candidate in the Faculty of Health Sciences at Simon Fraser University. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Human Geography and in Anthropology from Concordia University. Her research interests lie at the intersection of public health and socio-spatial equity, particularly in urban environments. She welcomes the opportunity to contribute towards understanding and improving equitable access in public bike share initiatives with Mobilizing Justice.

Outside of work and studies, Christine enjoys trail running, hiking, backcountry camping, and watching documentaries with her cat, Seymour.

Research interests: Spatial equity, planetary health, Geographic Information Systems, healthy cities, active transportation, and knowledge mobilization.
